Carnival festivities have officially begun. Georgia is having a samba costume party at school today.
So I created a homemade mixture of fairy, angel, and ballerina. Basically what I thought was every little girl's dream attire. Wrong. Yesterday she told me she wanted to go dressed as Spiderman. I actually thought it was pretty cool (enough of the pink and gender stuff). If I hadn't put all my energies into today's outfit, I may have just remade the costume.
Remade? Oh Mommy! Sewing machine...no! And although she left the house so pretty with a smile and spring in her step, I am certain G wants the Spiderman plastic mask and nylon outfit from the corner store.
But, of course.
You are so funny. my girls wanted Disney princess, which a completely refused. So bindi in the forehead and all, my two little hindis left the house! A hem here a string there and they were ready for Diwali!!! xo L
